The last time that I got a chance to interview Romeo Miller, was on the red carpet for the hit TV show Empire. At the time, the young rapper turned actor had been really making his mark on the TV/film screens. Honestly, Romeo has been doing his thing since the age of 10. Growing up with a father who was instrumental in the entertainment industry since the late 1980s, it was only a matter of time that Lil Romeo (his stage name at the time) would soon follow.
He has dabbled in many areas over the years but now he’s adding co-host to the list of amazing talents. Lately, viewers have been tuning in for the newest high energy, live millennial/Gen Z, mixed-gender talk show, THE MIX, where no topic is off-limits, which will relaunch today at 7 pm PT / 10 pm ET on FOX SOUL and will air each subsequent Tuesday night.
Topics on the MIX range from Black Lives Matter, current affairs, dating apps, viral trends, to breaking news for the culture, and they have featured A-list guests including Snoop Dogg, T.I., Lil’ Yachty, Kandi Burruss and Sukihana, just to name a few and so many more A-listers to follow for the re-launch.
Produced by industry powerhouse Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris (T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle), and hosted by Zonnique (T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle), Romeo Miller (Ex On The Beach/Peak), Anton Peeples (Mr. Mom), newcomer Jamie DuBose, and Jazz Anderson (TV personality & rapper), with four-time Emmy-nominated producer, Jill King (Rachael Ray, The Real, Steve Harvey, Red Table Talk) as Executive Producer and Showrunner, it’s a must-watch.
In preparation for the relaunch, Romeo took some time out of his schedule to chat with me about his new endeavors, how he’s been holding up during quarantine, and if he’s found his Juliet.
