O’Shea Jackson is Straight Outta Compton and showing the world how talented he is as an actor. Since playing his father, Ice Cube, in the NWA biopic there has been quite a few doubters when it comes to his acting abilities…and he’s remained strong. His follow up from SOC was the box office hit Den Of Thieves playing alongside Gerard Butler, 50 Cent and Pablo Schreiber.
Jackson has continually gotten the chance to work with some heavy hitters in the business. The list continues to grow in the new movie Long Shot starring Seth Rogen & Charlize Theron.
Imagine the movie Pretty Woman but the woman is a man. In the rom-com, Long Shot, when Fred Flarsky (Rogen) reunites with his first crush, one of the most influential women in the world, Charlotte Field (Theron), he charms her. As she prepares to make a run for the Presidency, Charlotte hires Fred as her speechwriter and sparks fly.
Jackson plays Fred’s BFF, Lance, that gives sound or not so sound advice. I had a chance to talk to O’Shea about playing next to Rogen and advice his friends have given him about women.
