I love seeing young kids doing great things. At the tender age of 16, Dante Brown has been showing Hollywood that he’s a lethal weapon since infancy. Brown’s TV career propelled in Chicago when he landed two national commercial spots. Since then the kid has been unstoppable. Playing alongside some heavy hitters in the business; such as: Viola Davis and Damon Wayans, just to name a few.
His breakout moment was when he caught the attention of Oprah at the age of 5. Dante was chosen to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show‘s first “Amazing Kids” episode, featuring Jay Leno as the host.
Now you can spot Brown on FOX’s highly anticipated series, Lethal Weapon.
The TV show, Lethal Weapon, is based on the popular films. Roger Murtaugh [Damon Wayans Sr.] and Martin Riggs [Clayne Crawford] are a pair of mismatched L.A.P.D. detectives working together to not work each others nerves.
“Dante shines as Roger “R.J.” Murtaugh Jr, Murtaugh’s good but slightly rebellious teenage son who is trying to carve out his own place in the world outside of his parents’ expectations.” –IMDb
While on hiatus from Lethal Weapon and visiting Chicago, we had a chance to chat with Dante about his role, working alongside Damon Wayans and more. Check out the cool interview.
