Financially a lot of Americans took a major hit during the pandemic. This has definitely been a scary time for all of us. Many people are struggling with job loss with no financial means. I’m not by any means an accountant or a financial guru but I wanted to provide useful tools and apps to help build a better budget. These products helped me stay afloat with my financial obligations while providing wiggle room to splurge. Not only did I want to share these tips with my community but with CBS 2 Chicago viewers too. That video will be published once it airs this morning.
In the meantime, the links are below for those that caught the segment and wanted some more details on the products/apps that were presented.
FABRIC
Fabric is an innovator in helping parents protect their family’s financial future. Fabric helps families find affordable life insurance, create a free will, and organize their financial documents, all online or via an app. Fabric makes finance easy for parents and offers a fleet of simple tools to help parents stop procrastinating and start tackling their long term financial to-do lists.
Fabric lets you apply for term life insurance online, without dealing with salesy agents. The application is fully electronic (many applicants are able to receive an offer without an in-person medical exam), and your policy is downloadable through your secure account. They offer 10-, 15- and 20-year term life insurance. When applicants receive an offer, they can choose to amend their coverage amounts and term lengths prior to purchasing (without additional underwriting or waiting for another application). This lets them view multiple combinations to find a premium that best fits their budget and their family’s needs. Note: We don’t offer term life insurance in MT, CA or NY.
Unlike budgeting apps for managing daily finances, Fabric’s app aims to fill a clear need that parents have when planning for their family’s long-term financial well-being.
