I had the pleasure of interviewing BJ The Chicago Kid before his scheduled event at Macy’s. Along with BJ, Jay Ellis and Jocelyn Delk Adams came together to celebrate Black History Month. They lead a panel discussion at Macy’s.
BJ The Chicago Kid is a singer/songwriter from Chicago, IL. He has been featured on tracks by Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Kehlani and Schoolboy Q’s hit “Studio.” BJ recently had the honor to perform the National Anthem for Obama’s Farewell address. His debut album, In My Mind, dropped in February 2016 and recently received three Grammy nominations.
During our interview, I ended up making BJ cry. Press play to find out way he got so emotional.
