As we’re all aware Tyler Perry is a content creating machine. We’ve seen new shows popping up from the powerhouse since OWN Network’s inception. Sistas is the latest Tyler creation.
The show follows a group of single Black women from different walks of life who bond over their one common thread: why am I single? The women navigate their “complicated love life” status, careers, and friendship through the ups-and-downs of living in a modern world of social media and unrealistic relationship goals.
The second season of Tyler Perry’s hit show Sistas returned to BET on Wednesday, October 14 at 9 pm. Star actor, Brian Jordan Jr., who portrays the hilarious character “Maurice Webb”, is ready to tell it all!
Brian Jordan Jr. is a multi-hyphenate artist from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and attended NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate acting school. After leaving Louisiana for New York City, with a degree in theatre, Brian began studying and working as a professional actor. He performed in broadway workshops, national tours, and several of the nation’s premier theatre houses before transitioning into television and film. Brian acknowledges the theatre as his “first love and foundation” and continues to move proudly between stage and screen projects. In addition to his hilarious role of Maurice Webb on Tyler Perry’s Sistas, his TV/Film work includes roles on “Bolden,” “Get On Up,” “Christmas Belles,” and “A Question Of Faith.”
Yesterday, I had to pleasure of chatting with Brian and he broke down the show Sistas for a sista plus he told me about working on-set during a pandemic, season 2 cliffhanger, and he gave his best impersonation of Ron Isely.
